The Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) credential is designed for the experienced business analysts who are recognized by the industry as experts in identifying organizations’ business requirements in order to come up with business solutions. This course focuses on creating the appropriate skills needed to critically analyze the practices, tools, and techniques required of empowered Business Analysts in the global market place.

Yes. The CBAP exam is one of the most difficult exams to crack. However, you will be able to crack it without breaking a sweat if you follow the correct CBAP preparation and study plan. The exam questions are based on the BABOK application version rather than the theoretical BABOK topics.

The step-by-step method you can follow for the IIBA® exam preparation is as follows:

  • Set the target date for the exam
  • Get a quick hold of BABOK®
  • Make sure that you choose the question bank properly
  • Keep a target score
  • Manage time
IIBA® does not demand a specific score to pass. However, you need to aim for at least 75 percent in all the sectors of this domain.
The CBAP® exam includes 120 questions that you are expected to answer within 3.5 hours.
You can take the exam up to three times in a year’s time. There is no waiting period between the attempts. If by chance you didn’t clear the exam all three times then you must wait until next year before you can reapply.

First of all, make sure that you meet IIBA requirements for the CBAP examination.

Then make an account in the IIBA portal with proper credentials and store your information regarding the number of hours you worked on the knowledge areas.

In the IIBA portal, click Certifications and then My Certifications and wherein you need to fill out the form and then click the Schedule and then the Pass Exam button. After clicking the button, you will be redirected to the PSI exam scheduling page, where you could schedule the exam at your convenience.

The time duration of the CBAP exam is three and a half hours, and there will be 120 multiple-choice questions. The exam comprises multiple questions on different case studies and focuses on testing the practical knowledge and application skills of the candidate, concerning the defined competencies for the CBAP Level 3 certification.
